Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Iron Tide Command is a slower burn than most mobile strategy games, and I mean that as praise. You command a growing fleet, juggle supply lines, and plan battles on a grid where terrain and weather genuinely change the outcome. It rewards patience.
Each campaign mission has a puzzle-like shape, and once I stopped rushing and started scouting, the whole thing opened up. The AI makes mistakes but not the lazy kind, so a bad plan gets punished. There's a lot of menu reading at first, though the tutorial eases you in better than I expected.
It's a thinking game best played with a cup of coffee, not on a jittery commute. For that mood, it's excellent.
What we liked
- Weather and terrain that matter
- Puzzle-shaped campaign missions
- Clear tutorial for a dense genre
