Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern pulled me in with atmosphere alone. You explore a fog-wrapped town, tap to examine objects, and slowly reconstruct a quiet mystery through notes and overheard memories. There's no combat, just curiosity and a few gentle puzzles.
The writing does the heavy lifting, and it's good. I cared about the handful of characters by the end, and the puzzles never got so hard they broke the mood. It's a three to four hour journey that respects your intelligence.
If you like story-first games and don't need action, this is a small gem. Play it with headphones at night.
What we liked
- Strong, understated writing
- Puzzles that keep the mood intact
